The Potential Lost is up Rp 13 millions
In Bali there are totally 1.973 accommodations which include hotels, villas, bungalows, and other means of accommodation with the total room number is 42.334 rooms. The global crisis on economy has caused tourism growth is away from the number targeted by the government. This will make the hotel business and the people involved in it feel unhappy.
Based on the survey conducted in Badung regency, there are 10.735 room nights cancellation for the period of January –February 2009 and will lead to lost of Rp 13 millions. The survey was held in Badung regency only and did not cover the other regencies such as Gianyar, Denpasar, Tabanan and others.
